About

About BathCalc

Free bathroom cost calculators · No sign-up · No sales calls

BathCalc exists because pricing a bathroom project in the U.S. is needlessly opaque. Contractor sites ask for your phone number before showing a number; blog posts give a single national average that doesn't match your room. We do the opposite: an instant, adjustable price range, no email required.

How our calculators work

Each calculator runs a transparent pricing model: a fixed setup cost plus a per-unit rate (per square foot or per fixture), adjusted by U.S. region, with a low-bid-to-high-bid span (−15% / +18%). All math runs in your browser — nothing you enter is transmitted or stored.

Where the numbers come from

BathCalc uses editable planning assumptions, not a survey of contractor bids. Each calculator’s methodology lists its formula, base rates, option allowances and regional factors. Reference links help compare project scopes; they do not certify BathCalc’s rates or imply endorsement.

The 85%–118% range is a model allowance, not a statistical confidence interval. Regional factors are broad assumptions rather than ZIP-code estimates. Get itemized local quotes and compare inclusions before committing to a project.

Model documentation updated October 9, 2026. Report discrepancies through our contact page.
